Already an established dart player with many tournaments under his belt within the British Darts Organisation (BDO), Dutch dart player Joey Ten Berge felt it was time to further develop his career. He set a goal for himself to become successful within the PDC. In 2014, with help from a local sponsor (Oranjebar) Joey registered himself for the
PDC Q-School in an attempt to win a 2 year Pro-Tour card.
He decided to contact Marc Vos at VOS180 Management as
he was new to the PDC and needed someone who would
help with his progression as a dart player and look after his interests. In his first attempt he won his Pro-Tour card…..GREAT RESULT!
The sport of darts within the PDC is a tough environment. Making a name for yourself amongst the best dart players in the world is not something you want to face alone.
2014 presented a steep learning curve as the PDC has a complete different structure to what Joey was used to in his BDO years. This has meant that Joey had to deal with many changes. With the help of Marc, Joey has found his feet within the PDC tournament environment. Using a different strategy and bespoke training methods, Joey qualified in
February 2015 for the televised UK Open finals in Minehead and is since steadily climbing the Pro-Tour order of merit ranking.
